Terms of Service
By using HomeFix.wiki (the "Site"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — especially the disclaimer about do-it-yourself work.
Informational use only
The Site provides general home-maintenance information for educational purposes. It is not professional advice and is not a substitute for a licensed contractor, electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, or structural engineer. You are responsible for determining whether a task is appropriate for you to attempt and for complying with all applicable building codes, permit requirements, and manufacturer instructions in your jurisdiction.
Assumption of risk and liability disclaimer
Home-maintenance and repair work can be hazardous. Tasks involving gas, electricity, water, heat, heights, power tools, chemicals, or structural elements carry a real risk of serious injury, property damage, or death. If you choose to act on information from the Site, you do so entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HomeFix.wiki, its owners, and its contributors disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, any information on the Site. When a job involves gas, electricity, or structural elements — or whenever you are in doubt — hire a licensed professional.
